Is there a dress code I need to be made aware of at my internship placement? Go Back

South African society can be called conservative, partially due to the many English influences. All children wear school uniforms to school and people dress relatively formal to go to work or even when going out.

It is important to be aware of the different habits and ways of dressing. As an intern you will represent the organization you work for. Find out from your supervisors what the dress code is for your particular job.

Having dreadlocks, piercings other than in your ears or visible tattoos might be unacceptable at some organizations, make sure to check with your supervisors.
